Memorial Weekend Fun

We were lucky this Memorial weekend to have family all the way from Chicago come visit all of us! I didn't take near enough pictures, but we loved every bit of it!

There was a LOT of pool volleyball going on!

Imagine tons and tons of BBQ loaded up on all of these trays... this was our dinner one night!

Of course we had to have Babe's Chicken. This box was HUGE and FULL of fried chicken.

It's safe to say we are all exhausted but had such a fun weekend!! 

I forgot to take a baby bump picture this week, but still the fun question & answers! :)

How far along: 15 Weeks!

Baby Size: An orange {4 inches, 2.5oz}

Maternity clothes:  Nope, not yet.

Sleep: Sleeping so good I can hardly wake up in the mornings!

 

Gender: It's a girl. No.. it's a boy. No, girl. I don't know!!

Movement: I know it’s supposed to be too early, but I swear I felt a little flutter a couple days ago!!

Looking forward to: Cleaning out the baby's room this weekend. More looking forward to getting it DONE!

Food cravings: Not really...

  Anything making you queasy or sick: Again, not really. Sometimes things just won't sound good at all, but I think that's pretty normal.

  

What I miss: I’d be lying if I said a homemade margarita by the pool didn’t sound amazing last weekend!

Symptoms: Headaches on top of headaches!

  

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: Happy!

Best moment this week: Having my parents in town all week and getting to enjoy dinners with Collin's parents who were also in town a few days!!

The weeks are already starting to fly by! Two more weeks until we find out boy or girl :)

Baby Gillaspie!

Collin and I are so excited to start this terrifying, exciting, and overwhelming journey into parenthood. Each doctors appointment makes everything feel more and more real, and finding out the gender at our next one will really make it all sink in! We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much love and support. I can't believe in less than 6 short months we will be welcoming new life into this world!

We found out we were expecting the day we got back from our Disney Cruise. I think this picture says it all! 

 

Then it sunk in a little bit ;)

We have had three doctors appointments so far and LOVE getting to see our little one on the ultrasound. We are smiling for days after walking out of the doctors office! :)

Here is the little one at six weeks.

Nine weeks.

and just last Thursday we saw him/her at 13 weeks. Look at that belly!!

Luckily, I have been feeling just fine for most of my pregnancy. I had a few days around five weeks that were awful, but other than that it's been smooth sailin'! I thought these little updates would be fun to start and to be able to look back on, so here we go! :)

How far along: 14 Weeks!

Baby Size: A lemon {3.4 inches, 1.5 oz}

Maternity clothes: No maternity clothes yet, but I do feel a little bump coming along.

Sleep: No complaints here! Sleeping great.

 

Gender: We go to the doctor to find out June 11th. Collin and I are both so mixed and go back and forth almost daily!

Movement: Not yet, but anxiously awaiting the first movement!

Looking forward to: Having a bunch of family in town this weekend for Memorial Day. I see a lot of food and a lot of laying out by my parent’s pool all (long) weekend!

Food cravings: Nothing really. I’ve had a lot more popcorn lately than I usually have (which was never), so I guess I could say popcorn. White cheddar popcorn!

  Anything making you queasy or sick: A few weeks ago the smell of BBQ made me feel sick. Not sure if I’m past that or not yet…

  

What I miss: Energy!!

Symptoms: Tired and HEADACHES… but I’ve been lucky not to experience anything else other than one or two days of nausea very early on.

Mood: Excited and so happy!

Best moment this week: Ordering our big, comfy rocker chair for the nursery :) And just yesterday Justin (jokingly) asking Dylan if she could babysit all the kids and her asking if she had to babysit my belly too! Haha!   I still can’t believe this is really happening, but we are so excited!
