Cartoons

Our little girl loves cartoons! We turn them on for her in the mornings or on the weekends when we are getting ready. It's so cute to watch her facial expressions throughout the shows. She has no clue what's going on, but that doesn't stop her from waving her arms around or squealing with excitement!

 "Doc McStuffins just did what?!"

Hopefully she will still sit and watch cartoons in the mornings after she learns to crawl!

Chicago Wedding Weekend

A couple weeks ago we returned from Chicago for my cousin Michael's wedding. We had such a fun weekend!!! It was all adults and no kids (minus the sweet flower girl and ring bearer!) We stayed in Downtown Chicago and enjoyed walking around and eating all there was to eat! I definitely could have used a few more days!!

...and we're off!

Papa John hooked us up with a limo ride from the airport to our hotel!

Always our family's first stop! If only you could have seen our group texts discussing what we would order! Haha!! Also, while we were here there was a photographer snapping pictures of Eli eating his chicken fingers. Turns out she was a food journalist for the Washington Post. We will have to keep an eye out for his magazine debut!

Rehearsal dinner at Lou Malnati's

Being touristy at the Hancock Building.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the location was so neat. It was in a very artsy building overlooking downtown Chicago. They will definitely win for the coolest wedding pictures.

Six Months

I feel like I just wrote Brooklyn's five month post, and here we are at six months already!

At six months, she is 16 lbs 2 oz and 28 inches long!

She has become a lot more active in the past couple weeks. She makes it hard to change her diaper when she wants to roll right over! She is getting so close to sitting up. She can sit for a few seconds and eventually tips over.

Her sleep has still been our biggest hurdle. She wakes up anywhere from 2-5 times a night. Just this last week its started to get a little better, so we are hoping this trend stays!

Still no teeth, but she has the sweetest toothless grins! Her drooling is non stop, so I am sure a tooth will pop up soon.

She loves her baby food and puffs. She makes me laugh, because each time I feed her something new for dinner, she makes the most disgusted face at the first bite and then ends up polishing off the whole jar! She also loves it when I let her drink some water out of my cup. She is always so interested in everything we do.

We just love her so much and watching her grow and develop is truly one of the most amazing things.

She was a ham at her six month check up!

First time trying out her sippy cup. She was pretty obsessed with it!

Poor girl had a pretty bad cough and wanted to snuggle all afternoon. Perfect afternoon in my books :)

 Stuck in the laundry!! Ha!

Adam is such a good helper!

I really can't believe how fast six months snuck up on us.. and I know the next six months will go just as fast!!
