Brooke's 2nd Birthday Party

I was hesitant to have her party at Chuck E Cheese.. because its Chuck E Cheese, but a brand new one opened up by us and surely it couldn't be dirty and nasty yet! Well, it wasn't and her party was a blast! I could hardly keep an eye on her running from place to place.. all her friends had a blast.. and I didn't have to clean up! It was a WIN!

A big thank you to everyone who came and celebrated Brooke turning 2! She is one loved and spoiled little girl!!!

Notice here that Cole is driving and Eli is controlling the pedals! Haha!

2 Yr Old Appt

I think Brooke may be destined to be a doctor. She LOVES getting check ups! She sits so still when they are listening to her heart, takes deep breathes when they ask her to, opens her mouth and sicks her tongue out to check her throat.. she does it all and stays so interested the entire time! After her check up, her doctor gave her one of the popsicle looking sticks and she was instructing ME to open my mouth so she could check my throat!

She did such a good job, until it was time for shots. Shes never been able to handle those but who can really blame her? Shots stink!

She is talking more and more lately and surprises us everyday with a new phrase. She can sometimes count to 3 or 4. She knows blue, green, orange, and yellow. She knows a few letters of the alphabet...like every once in a while she will walk around saying QRS. School has definitely been good for her and we feel like she's learned so much!

Two has also come with its fair share of fits. I'm hoping this is short lived and she gets passed this asap!! I have no patience for two years throwing themselves on the ground!

At 2 years old, Brooke was 35.25" (83%), 26.2 lbs (61%), and HC was 19" (78%)

We are so blessed to be your parents sweet girl!! Two years have FLOWN by and I know the next two will go even faster. That is a terrifying thought but watching you grow has been more than I could have imagined. We love you so much little Brookie!!!

Halloween 2016

Here's a peek into our Halloween this year. Brooke was so fun and just as cute as can be!

She quickly learned that saying trick or treat meant you got candy and she was all about it! She ran from house to house as fast as she could with her pumpkin bucket full of candy weighing her down. By the end of it she was practially running around with her eyes closed. She was so exhausted but not ready to quit! We finally called it quits and I think she had just as much fun passing out candy to the trick or treaters. She would put the candy in their buckets and say "you're welcome!!".

This year she was a little 80s jazzerciser. So precious!! :)

and a flashback to last year because where has the time gone?!?!

LONG time no blog!!

I realized I still find myself referring back to this blog on Brooke's growth, or what she was up to at certain months and times.. so I'm going to do my best to keep it updated - even if it's just once a month!

Brooke has sure grown and changed since my last post! She is running around everywhere and non stop jabbering. She continues to crack us up daily!

She LOVES cartoons - particularly Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Goldie and Bear. She is recently obsessed with airplanes and wants to run outside anytime she hears one. We are also slowly working on potty training! Every once in a while she will be really into it - like last night at dinner she said she needed to go potty so I took her too the restroom... she went potty, wiped, flushed, and then washed her hands like it was no big deal! Shes always surprising us!

She is really talking more and more lately. She has many phrases such as "I did it!" "What's that?" (a million times a day) "Where's daddy?" (or anyone else thats not in the room) "I don't want it" (my least favorite phrase!), anytime she falls, "I'm okay!" or "Whoa!" and much much more. Every day is something new.

And of course, our most exciting news -- We are expecting another little girl in March!! Everytime I ask Brooke if she wants a little sister she says "yes!!". She is going to be such a good big sister. She is obsessed with babies! Anytime we see one, she is dragging me by the leg to go see it. Little sister doesn't know whats coming! ;)

Funny story - The other day I was "explaining" to her that my belly was going to grow really big because the baby was growing big inside. She sat there and listened the whole time like she was really taking everything in and then replies with "ew." Ha!

Here is a little of what we've been up to lately!!

Flashback to Brooke's 18 month appt! She was 34 in. (96%), 24.2 lbs (49%), and not happy about getting shots!

In April we were fortunate to take Brooke to Jamaica with Collin's family!!

In June we had a BLAST in Florida on another family vacation!

July 15th we found out Brooke was going to be a big sister! :)

A couple days later we sold our house and moved Brooke into a big girl bed at my dads house!

Brooke's first Rangers game. She did great!

Brooke started Preschool at St. Peter! The first couple weeks she would cry and cling on to me.. now she is all smiles and loves her teacher and friends!

Lubbock over Labor Day to cheer on our Red Raiders!

We're constantly checking the progress on our new house! We move in the second weekend in November!!

School pictures!! I'm so obsessed! She was 22 months here :)

17 Weeks pregnant. NOT the best picture!! This little one gave me a rough go in the beginning.. but I've been feeling pretty good lately.

Celebrating 4 years with my favorite guy!

The boys took a trip to Pebble Beach! I think they had a good time!! When describing it all they could say is "you just had to be there." haha apparently its gorgeous views!

And lastly, we're all excited when daddy gets home from work :)

That's a lot of life lately!! Not much has been going on, but time sure has been flying! I am going to do my best at updating more often. Our new little girl (and Brooke!) deserves it!!
