Vegas & a LITTLE house progress

Collin and I got back from a little Vegas vacation last weekend! We had such a good time but whew.. that city can wear. you. out! I don't have many pictures at all :( mainly because the casinos are pretty strict about phones & if we weren't at the casino then we were sitting by the pool!

We stayed at Planet Hollywood! Such a nice hotel and casino, but the rooms were SO noisy all throughout the night!! I guess that's Vegas for ya though.

Collin found a Big Buck Hunter slot machine.. you can imagine how happy that made him!

"Is this the real Caesars Palace? Did Caesar actually live here?" ha! That poor hotel must get that ALL the time now!

I could watch this water show over and over.

He's pretty good lookin' if I do say so myself! ;)

I can FINALLY show a little update on the house!! It's been quite a while, but the permits finally went through and we have some plumbing! Hopefully the foundation will be SOON to follow!

Just some wood...

...that's all we have, but this is so exciting! Not only is this our first home together, not only did we get to pick out all the details together, but this is where our life as a married couple and someday family will truly begin.

Oh, and we had our first visitor, Dylan! :)

4th of July

I LOVE the 4th of July! It is one of the most fun holiday's. This year we spent it with Katie, Joni, and Dameon! We hung out by the pool for the majority of the day. We cooked out brats, drank pina coladas, and played some water volleyball! After a few hours of that, we regrouped and went to Jeff and Angel's neighborhoods 4th of July party. It was so fun hanging out with all the sweet kiddos!

Like I said... I LOVE the 4th of July! :)

Katie's festive Pina Coladas!

At the Castle Hills 4th Party. It wouldn't be a complete weekend if there wasn't a photobomb included!

...and then Joni taught the kids how to photobomb!

The next day, Collin and I had to go to a meeting to get our house started.. finally! When we drove out there, we saw that they had leveled the ground and were ready to get going! So exciting!

After that we met Katie, Joni, and Dameon at Plucker's (their new favorite!) and then headed out to the horse races and Pat Green concert! Always a good time!

I got lucky and bet $2 on an underdog horse and ended up winning $60! We are holding up a #3 because that was my lucky horse's number! It's the small things in life ;)

I promise Collin was there too! Ha! He was too busy placing bets!

Saturday we got to spend time with Mindee, Trampus, and Mackenzie! It was so nice to just relax and hang out with them. This was so cute.. When it was time to leave, Mackenzie tried hiding under the table so "no one could see her" and she would get to stay! Collin had to convince her that she could come back anytime :)

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!! Now back to the grind...

New Adventures

Things are getting more and more fun as newlyweds, as we have officially signed our lives away to build a house! We looked and looked at so many pre existing homes, but we just could not find anything we really fell in love with. Building a house is the perfect solution for us, as neither one of us are extremely handy when it comes to fixing up an older home. We are so so excited to get things going! Last I heard, they are just waiting to receive permits from the city, and then it's off to the races! It's going to be a little bit of a commute to work, but so worth it. We absolutely love the neighborhood and the whole "feel" of being out in Fort Worth/Keller. Plenty more pictures to come as things progress :)

10.13.12

Everything about our wedding was absolutely perfect. From the linens on the tables to the flowers down the isle. Everything. My mom is a huge person to thank for all of this. With her help, she made my dream wedding a reality.

I mean, really? How perfect is this?!

We had the BEST/MOST FUN wedding party!!

Mom - Thank you for guiding me through the whole wedding planning process. I could not have done it without your help... and things definitely would not have turned out as perfect without you!

I will never forget this day and how handsome my groom looked at the end of the isle :)

Lately..

The summer officially has not even started yet, but Collin and I feel like we have already had a crazy summer! We have been going and going non stop, but loving every minute!

As soon as the weather turned nice, it was time for the horse races!

Followed by a Gary Allan concert, of course!

Enjoying the warmer weather & Gary Allan

Somehow, Collin and I always seem to run into free tickets to the Rangers games. We aren't complaining :) This is one of the most fun things to do!!

Collin got these tickets (6 rows up!) from his new boss. He seems to be getting a lot of perks with his new job!

Kasey & Johnny invited us to this game with them! We had a blast!! Awesome seats! Afterwards was fun too :)

We were also able to get floor tickets to the Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Eli Young Band, & Kasey Musgraves concert. We were so happy to have Justin and Brennon go with us. To say we had fun is an understatement!! Minus the fact that we almost forgot the tickets.... :)

Eric Church

Horrible picture.. but Kenny Chesney

The Group!! So much fun!

Then there was the Byron Nelson Golf Tournament (another work perk for Collin). I think this can be a guys outing from now on... Between walking the course and walking to our car, it was probably a total of about 7 or 8 miles. Exhausting in the hot, humid weather!

John Daly & Ryan Palmer

Then we went to Amarillo for Memorial weekend. I did a horrible job at taking pictures, but we had a great weekend! When we got home, we realized our whole weekend was planned around eating! We grilled steaks at my parents, had smoked brisket at Collin's sister's house, and went to Ruby Tequila's, of course! Collin's parents have a HUGE blow up water slide, so we spent most of Sunday out in the backyard while the little ones played in the water. It was so nice out!

And just last weekend, we went to San Antonio for GEORGE STRAIT! I love him! This was his last time to play on tour in his hometown. He played for a little over THREE hours! I'm SO happy we were able to go. Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert were so fun to watch as well!

Being tourists and visiting the Alamo!

George Strait! So much fun!!

On the way home from San Antonio, we stopped at a drive thru safari trail! It was so neat. The animals would walk right up to your car and eat right out of your hands! (Although, I don't think you were supposed to feed them from your hands...)

It was a quick, FUN weekend!! Now that summer is coming, I think it's time for us to rest up and spend most of our time at the pool! Collin also starts summer school :( good thing we jammed all our fun into May!

And just because this picture is too funny not to share!

Memorial Day fun! Someday Cole will be bigger than Cameron, and the roles will be reversed ;)
