33 Weeks

How far along: 33 Weeks!

Baby Size: A Durian? {17.2-18.7 inches, 4.2-5.8 lb}

Maternity clothes: Yep!

Sleep: Some good nights, some bad nights. Little girl likes to have a party around 11pm and again at 4am. Probably going to be pretty similar to her schedule when she is here!

Gender: Girl :)

Movement: All the time. Her kicks have turned into more of a roll feeling and her foot likes to get caught under my ribs!

Looking forward to: These last few weeks of just Collin and I. Our world is about to drastically change. (For the better!)

Food cravings: Nothing in particular

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

What I miss: Feeling like my normal self.

Symptoms: Back aches, feet swelling, shortness of breath… the usual!

Belly Button in or out? It’s pretty even and super sensitive!

Wedding rings on or off? On, mostly.

Mood: A little exhausted but I feel like there is too much to get done before Brooke gets here to rest.

Best moment this week: We get to see the little one tomorrow at our appointment and that always makes for a good week :)

Here is a little room progress. Just a few things left to do and we will be ready!

I'm just not sure she has enough clothes! ;)

29 Weeks

Third trimester already?!

 How far along: 29 Weeks!

Baby Size: An acorn squash {15.2-16.7 inches, 2.5-3.8 oz}

Maternity clothes: Yep! Some clothes still fit okay, but majority is maternity clothes.

Sleep: Having a harder time getting comfortable. It takes a fort of pillows around me to find the right spot.

Gender: Brooklyn Sue Gillaspie :)

Movement: All the time. I’ve been able to see my belly move a lot more recently and she’s been having the hiccups often!

Looking forward to: Our baby shower’s this month.. and the weather starting to cool off!

Food cravings: Sonic Ocean Waters

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

What I miss: My back not hurting every time I move!

Symptoms: Just back aches... so I can’t complain too much! I passed my glucose test, but was told my iron levels are low - not surprising since I get light headed so easily. The nurse recommended an over the counter iron supplement and didn't seem too concerned.

Belly Button in or out? I’d say it’s a halfie.. It gets closer to popping out after eating a big meal.

Wedding rings on or off? On during the day… off once I get home from work.

Mood: Ready for the holidays to get here and meet our baby girl!

Best moment this week: We got a 3D sonogram done on Saturday and loved being able to see her a little clearer! She was in a breech position and her feet, hands, and cord were all up by her head, but we were able to get a few good shots.
We also enjoyed having a long weekend and spending it with family.

...annnd a little 3D picture overload :)

Love this little smirk :)

Looking forward to: Our appointment today

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Best moment this week: Justin and Brennon painting our nursery for us! It is a HUGE check off our list, and there’s no way we could have done it ourselves. It looks so good! THANK YOU!

"That's it! I'm done!" ;)

As a thank you (and the least we could do), we had a sleepover with these kiddos. Of course they had to be spoiled with some ice cream!

Things are starting to come together for Miss Brooke and I am getting SO excited to meet her. Seeing this little cutie isn't helping my anxiousness! Congrats to Brittany and Eric on their sweet little boy, Nathan. I can't wait to meet him!!

My new Angel

I can’t say that everything’s okay
‘Cause I can see the tears you’re crying
And I can’t promise to take the pain away
But you can know I won’t stop trying

I’ll be the angel by your side
I will get you through the night
I’ll be the strength you can’t provide on your own
‘Cause when you’re down and out of time
And you think you’ve lost the fight
Let me be the angel
The angel by your side

 -

Mom raised my siblings and I to be strong individuals. As much as I want to crumble and hide under a blanket until this storm passes, I have to keep going. More than anything, my heart hurts for Cameron, Dylan, Savannah, Cole, and Adam. Mom was the best and most loving Grandma. She was never hard spoken, never tried to mother her grandchildren, and always made them feel so loved and important to her. It hurts to know that my little girl won’t get to experience my mom’s love, but I know she will at least get to feel it. It’s within all of us. Learning to become a mom without my own mom’s advice will be my greatest challenge, although I am lucky she has already taught me so much.  A mom is an irreplaceable person in any girl’s life, but I am blessed to have such an amazing husband and family to help me along my new journey. She was my role model, biggest fan, advice giver, very best friend, and now my guardian angel.

23 Weeks

*I'll get a picture up when I finally get around to taking one!*

How far along: 23 Weeks!

Baby Size: A grapefruit {10.5-11.8 inches, 12.7-20.8 oz}

Maternity clothes: I’ve finally bought a few things, but need more!

Sleep: Still pretty good other than some aches and pains

Gender: GIRL! There is nothing in this world better than a mother-daughter relationship, and God sure blessed us with the timing of this sweet girl.

Movement: All the time! Her most rowdy times so far are between 9-10am and right before bed. Collin even felt his first kicks the other night. It’s the most amazing feeling!

Looking forward to: Working on the nursery.

Food cravings: Fruit!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach

Symptoms: I’m not exactly sure what round ligament pain is, but I think that’s what I’ve been feeling. My stomach feels so tight and cramped lately, along with some major back pains.

Belly Button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood: With everything going on, it’s hard to say I feel happy, but I am feeling extremely blessed to have a healthy little girl growing perfectly on schedule.

Best moment this week: Our nursery chair was delivered and we’ve purchased a couple other things for the nursery.
